Monday 5th May 2008 Pay dispute ends Everyone's had their say on the question of pay, and a decision has been agreed. Drivers said they'd accept, what they could get, as they weren't motivated by greed.
So the dispute has ended, relationships mended, and everything is back on track. Those involved, are pleased it's been resolved, and everyone's glad to be back.
Tuesday 6th May 2008 The Vale goes green The Vale's going green, with a recycling scheme, and they're recycling paper, glass and plastic. There will also be bins, to recycle your old tins, which is great news and absolutely fantastic.
I'm also pleased to say, that plans are under way, to generate electricity from waves. The power of the sea, is constant and totally free, and it's amazing the energy it saves.
Wednesday 7th May 2008 Launch of a new car by WMW It's finally here, the new car of the year, WMW's range of rugged 4 x 4's. It's economical, sleek, on sale next week, and comes with 3, 5, or 7 doors.
It's not built to go fast, it's built to last, and can last for over 40 years. It's very cheap to run, driving it is fun, and has automatic or manual gears.
Thursday 8th May 2008 Cantal is singing tonight Tonight at five, singing live, will be our latest rising star. From 5 until 7, it'll be heaven, at the Fromage Club and Bar.
Pop along, for her latest song, it'll be an evening of great fun. Take a seat, grab a bite to eat, order now, before there are none.
Friday 9th May 2008 Weekend events It's busy in the Vale, with a Fayre in Wensleydale, and a market in the village of Roquefort. In Wensleydale Well, there is a lot to buy and sell, and all the money goes to the poor.
From today, you can drive one away, but there may be very big queues. This Friday, we'll hear what people say, and get their opinions and views.
We're taking it for a test, so if it's the best, we'll tell you in our detailed report. From comfort to speed, every driving need, will be scored from ten to nought.
Tuesday 13th May 2008 Mixed weather
A mini hurricane, tropical rain, and winds of 100 mph. Bright lightening, very frightening, and the odd snow shower.
Thunder loud, sky full of cloud, but soon it'll all be cleared. Followed by sunshine, it'll be fine, this weather is really weird.
Wensleydale 14th May 2008 The C4 into Wensleydale is closed
They've shut the C4, have set up a detour, but it will add 30 minutes to your drive. There's lots of mud, caused by the flood, and no guarantee of when you'll arrive.
Tonnes of the stuff, moving it will be tough, they need 8 big lorries and lots of men. Through the night and day, clearing it away, loading lorries over and over again.
Thursday 15th May 2008 A perfect day
It's mid May, it's a beautiful day, and everything is lush and green. The Vale is bright, looks just right, it's the most beautiful it's ever been.
Birds are singing, church bells ringing, and Cheasies are playing outside. Running, jumping, hearts pumping, everyone has a great sense of pride.
Friday 16th May 2008 The C4 is open
The mud has cleared, queues have disappeared, and traffic is moving again. But for a few more days, there will be minor delays, and pray for no more rain.
So please pay attention and we need to mention, that cameras will be checking your speed. So drive with great care and be 'speed aware', and don't drive fast, there's really no need.
Monday 19th May 2008 The old cinema is coming alive Your grandma and grandpa, will remember this cinema, they went there when they were young. But since 1923, its been standing empty, however now restoration has begun.
There will be 200 seats, a shop for snacks and sweets, and air conditioning to keep you chilled. From romance to mystery, from adventure to history, all sorts of films to keep you thrilled.
Tuesday 20th May 2008 A gas leak in the village of Roquefort There's a gas smell in Roquefort, so until we're sure, please don't use anything needing gas. Open your doors, whilst we're investigating the cause, we hope that this danger will soon pass.
If you start feeling unwell, then please tell, the people at the end our emergency phone. Give your name, address, and in 5 minutes or less, we'll have someone around to your home.
Update on the gas leak It was a very small leak, near to the creek, and now everything seems to be ok. The gas isn't leaking, and the boss was speaking, apologising for all of the problems today.
Wednesday 21st May 2008 Help a friend day Today Wednesday, is help a friend day, or anyone else in need. So go to there home, or give them a phone, or send them an email to read.
Ask how they are, do they need a lift by car, or is there anything else you can do. Did they have a good day, are they feeling ok, maybe invite them for a meal with you.
Thursday 22nd May 2008 Summer forecast Summer this year, will be dry and hot I fear, and as reported there may be a drought. We need water to spare, so use it with care, this we can all do something about.
The reservoir is low, as well as the river flow, so there's not a lot of water in reserve. There may a water ban, it'll be avoided if we can, but we need to think, conserve, conserve.
Friday 23rd May 2008 Weekend events in the Vale Freedom of the seas
50 yachts from the Vale, will later set sail, to celebrate the freedom of the Seas. Across these seas, came food, plants and trees, and medicines to help fight disease.
Some stayed alive, others did not survive, and families were left behind grieving. Some sank with the boat, others stayed afloat, desperate to stay warm and keep breathing.
