Monday 28th April 2008 Wensleydale Wanderers win
Again, Wednesday Wanderers won the game, they were quick and expertly passed the ball. With Stilton Peters on the wing, doing his thing, he was one of the best players of them all.
The stadium was packed, because of the fact, that this was the first away game of 2008. Travelling 6 in a car, from near and afar, fans were excited and really couldn't wait.
Please remember to go to the Wensleydale fashion show
Tuesday 29th April 2008 A potential rail drivers strike
Things aren't to their liking, they may be striking, which will cause total chaos on the trains. All that they seek, is an extra £5 a week, or they'll act with their feet, not brains.
We'll know in a day, if they'll strike over pay, beacause they're voting later this afternoon. If 80% vote yes, then it's going to be a mess, let's hope things become normal quite soon.
Wednesday 30th April 2008 The rail strike begins
The rail strike has started, only 2 trains departed, the 6.18 and the 6.44. The others in the sheds, tucked up in their beds, are safe behind a huge metal door.
All of this waiting, is extremely frustrating, the trains need to be on the move. Throughout the day, there are meetings on pay, we hope it's something they approve.
Thunder 1st May 2008 Bad weather
Today in the vale, we're expecting a gale, with winds blowing at 80 miles per hour. They're cancelling all sport, closing the port, and evacuating the air traffic control tower.
To help anyone hurt, ambulances are on alert, and fire crews will be standing by. Cover windows and doors, secure things to floors, and ensure you keep warm and dry.
Friday 2nd May 2008 The gale passes
Nobody has been hurt, it's the end of the alert, and luckily the Vale escaped a disaster. In nearly every town, trees were blown down, with some damage to roofs and plaster.
Weater update It will be warm and dry, with bright clear sky, and the temperature will be 17 degrees. It'll drop to 6 at night, it'll be unusually bright, and there'll be very calm and gentle seas.
The fashion show ends We were unable to go, to the Wensleydale fashion show, as lots of other things going on in the Vale. There were many successes, people loved Edam's dresses, everyone wanted to know if they were on sale.
News extra On Monday, there'll be an announcement on rail pay.
